Quad-Ring

A double-acting four lip seal for static and dynamic applications. Quad-Rings (also known as X-Rings) are available in a wide range of elastomer compounds. Provides higher seal efficiency and lower friction than conventional O-Rings.

The sealing principle of the Quad-ring is nearly the same as the O-ring sealing. The initial sealing is achieved by the diametrical squeeze in a right angled groove. The system pressure itself creates a positive sealing force.

The Quad-Ring has three definitive sealing advantages over an O-Ring

• Hidden parting lines, or flash lines
• The Quad-Ring is more stable in dynamic applications
